Hello my love.

Welcome to my blog. :)

My Heart + This World No. 2

Somedays I take a look around and end up smiling at the true beauty of this earth. I am filled with gratitude. The way the leaves fall and change color is simply extraordinary and makes my heart rather content. The sound of the tree branches swaying side to side, shuffling against each other from the chilling breeze sends chills down my spine. The way the early morning air nips at my skin gives me that feeling in the pit of my stomach you get right before someone you love tickles you. I hear birds chirping and I see the clouds above me moving slowly but surely along side of me. I feel the wind brush through each and every single strand of my hair. My nose is as cold as ice but my heart is warm and fuzzy.

I love really old book stores. I love how when the sun shines in through the windows you can see the dust floating in the air. Pretty gross when I think about it now but for some reason it is quite the comforting visual. My mom has these books in our hallway probably older than your great grandma. They're fragile and some of them are falling apart already but I love the way they smell. I love thinking about how many people before me have held and read the books in my hands.

As of late, I haven't been able to shake continuous thoughts of the past and future off my mind. There are so many things I want to know and be apart of. I want to die knowing that I personally have given the world all I have to offer. I want the people who come after us be better and have more love in their hearts than ever before. While being positive, I also need to be realistic and note that people get hurt and we often times have hate in our hearts. With that being said, I hope you all have your listening ears on because 2018 is the year to speak out and do better. Out with the old, in with the new. Hang on to those dusty old books though. ;)
